Pale Garden Backport The Garden Awakens FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find the Pale Garden biome?
The Pale Garden is a rare biome that generates in the Overworld alongside other biomes. Search at higher elevations and in colder regions, or use the locate command if available in your version. The biome has a distinctive pale, eerie appearance with Pale Oak trees and Eyeblossoms.
What's the difference between open and closed Eyeblossoms?
Eyeblossoms open during the day and close at night, changing their appearance and behavior. Closed Eyeblossoms are poisonous to bees, so they won't pollinate or visit them at night.
How do I safely farm
Pale Oak wood?
Pale Oak trees grow from Pale Oak saplings placed on dirt or grass blocks in the Pale Garden biome. They require normal light and time to grow; bone meal can speed up the process. Harvest the wood like any other tree, but be cautious of Creaking mobs spawning nearby.
What do I do with Resin Clumps?
Resin Clumps can be crafted into
Resin Bricks or combined to create a
Block of Resin. These blocks have unique acoustic properties and custom sounds when walked on or broken.

Creaking mobs are hostile and spawn in the Pale Garden; they have unique behaviors tied to the environment. Avoid engaging them directly if unprepared, and use ranged weapons or environmental hazards to your advantage. Note that Pillagers, Vindicators, Evokers, and Illusionists are afraid of Creaking and will flee.
Can I grow Pale Oak trees outside the Pale Garden?
Pale Oak saplings can be planted in other biomes on dirt or grass blocks, but they may grow slower or have reduced success rates outside their native Pale Garden environment. For best results, establish your farm in or near the Pale Garden biome.
Do Eyeblossoms have any uses besides decoration?
Eyeblossoms primarily serve as decorative blocks that define the Pale Garden's atmosphere. Their day/night cycle and effect on bees make them important for the biome's ecosystem, but they don't have direct crafting recipes.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod adds new blocks, mobs, and biomes which may impact performance depending on your system and how many Pale Gardens generate. Monitor your frame rate in areas with many Creaking mobs or dense Pale Oak forests, and adjust render distance if needed.
Can I use this mod with other biome or garden mods?
This mod should be compatible with most other mods, but biome mods may occasionally generate conflicting terrain. Test your modpack and watch for overlapping biome generation; if conflicts occur, adjust mod load order or biome settings.
