Start by gathering Spirit Ore from deep underground, then craft it into Spirit to unlock most of the mod's recipes. Once you have Spirit, you can begin crafting decorative blocks like Wreaths, Stockings, and Light Strings to decorate your base.

Spirit Ore generates in the depths of the earth, similar to other ores found at lower Y-levels. Mine it with any pickaxe to obtain Spirit Ore blocks, which you can then smelt or craft into Spirit.

Presents are crafted using Spirit and act like lucky blocks—when you break them, they drop random loot. You can also obtain Presents by killing Elves, which spawn naturally during the mod's Christmas-themed world generation.

Candycane Armor is purely decorative and doesn't provide meaningful protection compared to standard armor. It's designed to look festive rather than be practical for combat or survival.

Candy Canes are edible items that restore hunger when eaten. Peppermint Candy is a smaller variant, though its actual effects are intentionally unclear—experiment to find out!

Build a Shrub Tree (a Charlie Brown-style tree) as your base, then decorate it with a Glowstone Star or Gold Star on top and add Light Strings around it for a festive look.

The Bell Ringer is a decorative block that makes noise when you right-click it, adding ambient Christmas sounds to your build.

Just Enough Items (JEI) is recommended to view all the mod's crafting recipes in-game, but it's not required to play—you can also check the wiki or use trial-and-error.

Elves are mobs that spawn in the world and can be killed to drop Presents. They also interact with Hot Chocolate, which suggests they may have special behavior around this item.

Noel Mod is a lightweight decoration mod focused on Christmas blocks and items, so it should have minimal performance impact on most systems. If you experience lag, check that you're not placing excessive Light Strings or other animated decorations in one area.
