How to Use MineTogether to Play Cooperatively With Friends
What the Team System Actually Does
MineTogether is a multiplayer-focused mod, and its core feature is a shared team system that lets players form groups and cooperate inside a single world. Rather than tracking friends separately, everything flows through your team: once players are on the same team, the mod treats them as allies and unlocks its cooperative behaviour.
Getting Everyone on the Same Team
Have one player create the team through the team menu, then invite the others by username. Each invited player accepts the request. Confirm everyone appears on the member list before you start building together. If a player is missing, re-send the invite — pending requests are easy to overlook.
Playing Together
With the team formed, play normally in the shared world. The team acts as the grouping layer the mod uses to distinguish allies from outsiders, so keep membership up to date: remove players who leave and add new ones as they join. Use the team screen to check who is currently grouped with you. Because the mod is about cooperation within one world, the practical workflow is simply: form the team first, then build, explore, and share resources as a group.
