Migamigos FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find and recruit my first companion?
Each companion spawns naturally in specific biomes—check the biome list for your chosen amigo, then explore those areas to find them. Once you locate one, interact with them to recruit them into your party.
Do my companions level up automatically or do I need to do something?
Your companions gain experience by fighting hostile mobs alongside you, so they level up automatically as you adventure together. Higher levels increase their attack damage and effectiveness in combat.
Can I give my companions weapons or do they only use their default attacks?
Companions use their unique built-in attack styles and cannot equip weapons, but you can give them armor to wear for extra defense against monsters.
What happens if my companion dies in combat?
Companions can be defeated by mobs, but they will respawn after a period of time so you don't permanently lose them.
How do I make my companion stop attacking and just follow me?
Use the companion behavior customization system to switch them between combat and exploration modes, allowing you to control when they engage enemies.
Can I have multiple companions following me at once?
Yes, you can recruit multiple different companions and have them all travel with you as a full party.
Which companion is best for early game survival?
Wavelyn and Claymore are solid early-game choices—Wavelyn provides ranged holy support while Claymore handles close combat threats effectively.
Can I change a companion's health or damage values?
Yes, the mod supports custom data packs that let you adjust companion stats like health and damage to your preferred difficulty.
Do companions pick up items I drop, or do I have to manually give them things?
You manually hand items to your companions to carry, giving you extra inventory space during exploration.
Will this mod cause lag if I have multiple companions out?
Performance depends on your system and other mods, but the mod is designed to be lightweight; if you experience issues, try reducing the number of active companions or adjusting their AI settings.
