Travel to an Ancient City and find the large reinforced deepslate frame. Use a Goat Horn to summon the Singer, then place Note Blocks on the awakened Sonorous Deepslate blocks and play them in this order: 1 → 3 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 2 → 4 → 8. The gateway will open and you can step through.

Ancient Cities spawn deep underground in the Overworld; you'll need to dig down past Y-level 0 or use the /locate command to find one. Once you have coordinates, dig carefully to avoid triggering sculk sensors that spawn Wardens.

Find a Blub in The Sift and give it Soul Blocks until it becomes bonded to you. Once tamed, it will defend you from hostile mobs in the dimension.
