Troubleshooting Connected Textures That Aren't Showing Up

First Checks

If nothing is connecting anywhere, the pack is likely not active or not being applied to the world you are in.

1. Confirm the resource pack is enabled and sits at the top of your selected packs list, above any other pack that also touches block textures. A pack lower in the list can override the connected textures.

2. Make sure you are looking at a block type the pack actually supports. Plain stone, dirt, and most solid blocks are not part of the connected set, so they will always look normal.

3. Reload resources after changing pack order. Many texture changes only take effect after a reload, so toggle the pack off and on or use the reload option rather than restarting the whole game.

If Only Some Blocks Connect

When glass merges but bookshelves do not, or vice versa, the cause is almost always a neighboring block breaking the run. Walk the edge of the surface and look for a single block that does not match its neighbors — one different wood type, one pane, one slab. Replace it and the connection returns.

If It Worked and Then Stopped

Adding another resource pack, or moving this one down the list, can silently disable the connected textures. Re-check your pack order first before assuming something is broken. If a specific area refuses to merge while an identical area elsewhere works, the difference is in the blocks themselves, not the pack.
