Missing or Dim Light Effects
If you're not seeing the colored light shimmers, glow spots, or light cones the pack is known for:
- Verify the resource pack is actually enabled in your resource pack menu and ranked above conflicting packs.
- Check your graphics settings—effects may be too subtle on Fast mode or with particles set to Minimal. Switch to Fancy graphics and increase particle count.
- Ensure you're looking at affected blocks. Not all light sources receive effects; torches, lanterns, furnaces, and natural sources like lava and
glowstone are the primary targets.
Performance Stuttering or Crashes
If the pack causes lag or instability:
- Reduce render distance significantly and test if performance improves.
- Lower particle effects to see if the glow spots and shimmers are the culprit.
- Try disabling other resource packs temporarily to rule out conflicts.
- Check that your GPU drivers are up to date, as complex particle rendering depends on graphics hardware.
If issues persist after these steps, the pack may be incompatible with your system's capabilities or conflicting with another mod or resource pack.
