Comparing Light Leak Effects Across Different Light Sources

Understanding Which Blocks Get Enhanced

Light Leak Resource Pack doesn't affect all light sources equally. Functional blocks like furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers receive realistic glow effects that make them appear actively lit. Natural light sources—lava, glowstone, shroomlights, and froglights—also get enhanced with colored shimmers and light cones.

Torches and lanterns receive some of the most dramatic improvements, with colored light leaks and glowing spots that vary by torch type (normal, soul, or redstone torches each have distinct visual treatments).

Spotting the Differences

Place multiple light sources side-by-side to see the variations. Soul torches will display different colored effects than normal torches. Lanterns near structures show more pronounced light cone effects than when placed in open air. Rails with light-emitting properties also receive subtle enhancements.

Experiment in different environments—dark caves, night-time surfaces, and indoors—to fully appreciate how the pack transforms each light source's appearance and how the effects interact with surrounding blocks.
