Set Up Redstone-Controlled Brakes and Launches
Installing Magnetic Launch Sections
Place magnetic launch track pieces where you want trains to accelerate. Connect redstone power to the launch block—when powered, it will push trains forward with consistent force. This is useful for starting coasters without a lift hill or for mid-course speed boosts.
Adding Brake Sections
Place brake track pieces in your station or at the end of your coaster line. Connect redstone signals to control when brakes engage. Powered brakes will slow or stop trains smoothly, while unpowered brakes allow trains to roll freely.
Timing Your Controls
Use redstone repeaters and comparators to create timing sequences. For example, power your launch only when a train sensor detects a car is in position, then disable it once the train passes. Connect brake sensors to stop trains automatically at the station when they arrive.
