Build Your First Roller Coaster Loop
Setting Up Your Track Line
Start by crafting coaster steel and placing anchor points where you want your loop to begin and end. Use the wrench tool to aim each anchor point in the direction you want the track to curve. Space your anchors closer together on tight curves for smoother transitions.
Creating the Loop
Connect your anchor points together using the track placement tool. The mod will automatically calculate smooth curves between points. For a vertical loop, angle your anchors so they gradually tilt upward, curve over the top, and come back down to horizontal track.
Add a chain lift hill before your loop so trains have enough speed to complete it. Place the lift section on an incline leading into your loop's entrance.
Testing Your Coaster
Place a
coaster car on your track near the station. Right-click the car to board and ride. If the train doesn't make it over the loop, add more lift hill height or extend your chain lift section. Watch your speed using the stat tracker to see if you're hitting the forces needed for a complete loop.
