Turn On VineC's Cartoony Shaders and Switch Back to Vanilla
VineC's Cartoony Shaders is a shader pack. It needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine to run. It does not work as a resource pack, so it will not appear in the Resource Packs menu.
Enabling the Cartoon Look
1. Make sure your shader loader is installed and that you launch the game with that profile.
2. Put the shader pack file in your shaderpacks folder, not in resourcepacks. The quickest way is to open the shader menu and click the button that opens the shader pack folder.
3. Open the shader menu:
- Iris: Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs
- OptiFine: Options → Video Settings → Shaders
4. Click VineC's Cartoony Shaders in the list and press Apply or Done.
5. Load a world. Blocks, mobs and items should now have bold outlines, and the lighting should look brighter, like an animated show.
Turning It Off Again
You may want the plain vanilla look for a quick comparison or a performance check. To get it:
1. Go back to the same shader menu.
2. Select Off (OptiFine) or turn shaders off (Iris).
3. Apply the change. Your world returns to standard lighting with no outlines.
You can switch back and forth as often as you like. Your world and builds are not changed, because the pack only affects how the game looks on your screen.
