Make Your Builds Pop Under VineC's Cartoony Shaders

The pack outlines every block and keeps the classic blocky look. Your builds will look like drawings from an animated show, and a few simple habits make them read even better.

Building With Outlines in Mind

1. Add depth to flat walls. Outlines trace block edges, so a wall with insets, pillars or overhangs shows more lines and looks more detailed. A completely flat wall shows fewer lines.

2. Use shape variety. Stairs, slabs, fences and walls create extra edges for the shader to outline. This gives roofs and trim a hand-drawn feel.

3. Frame your structure against the sky. The pack helps structures pop against the background. Building on a hill or at the edge of open space lets the outline show your whole silhouette.

4. Keep it blocky. The pack preserves the original Minecraft look, so classic block-by-block building fits the style naturally.

Checking Your Work

1. Fly or walk back from your build and view it from several angles in daylight. This is where the pack's bright lighting shows it best.

2. Turn the shader off briefly in the shader menu and compare. Any area that looks dull or flat in both views may need more detail.

3. Place mobs, armor stands or item frames around the build. Characters and items also get outlines, which brings a cartoon scene to life.
