How to Check That Trio Shader Is Working
After you select Trio Shader, check that it is actually rendering. Do this before you change other settings. The pack changes a few specific things, so you know exactly what to look for.
Daytime checklist
Stand outside in an open area during the day.
- Sunlight: Blocks in direct sun should look different from vanilla. The pack changes how sunlight lights the world.
- Shadows: Look under trees, overhangs and the edges of hills. You should see soft shadows cast beneath them, not only vanilla's flat block shading.
- Readability: The landscape should still look bright and clear. Trio Shader aims to keep outdoor areas crisp, so a very dark daytime scene means something else is wrong.
Water and night checklist
1. Walk to a lake, river or ocean. The default water surface should be replaced with clear, smooth liquid shading.
2. Moonlit blocks should look different from vanilla nights, because the pack also changes moonlight.
If none of these changes appear, open your shader menu again. Check that Trio Shader is highlighted as the active pack. Make sure the loader didn't fall back to shaders off after an error.
