Turn On DREDGIVIBE Shaders and Check That They Work
DREDGIVIBE is a shader pack, so it needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. It does not go in the resource packs folder.
Load the pack
1. Launch Minecraft with your shader loader active.
2. Open Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs. On OptiFine the button is labelled Shaders....
3. Click Open Shader Pack Folder. This opens your shaderpacks folder.
4. Put the DREDGIVIBE pack file in that folder. Leave it zipped unless the pack came as a folder.
5. Go back to the game screen. DREDGIVIBE should now appear in the list. If it does not, close and reopen the menu.
6. Select DREDGIVIBE and click Apply or Done. The screen may freeze for a moment while the shaders compile.
Confirm it's running
Load a world and check for these changes:
- Shadows. Blocks, trees and terrain should cast semi-realistic shadows in daylight.
- Colour. Sunlight should look tinted and moody rather than flat vanilla lighting.
- Night. Night and caves should feel noticeably darker and eerier than normal.
If the world looks like vanilla, check these things:
1. Reopen the Shader Packs menu and make sure DREDGIVIBE is still selected.
2. Make sure only one shader loader is installed.
3. Check that the pack is in shaderpacks, not resourcepacks.
You can switch back to vanilla at any time. Choose OFF or (internal) in the same menu.
