Locating Players on Your Network

When running multiple backend servers, you may need to find where a specific player is currently playing or move them to a different server.

Finding a Player

1. Use the command /find [playername] to see which backend server that player is connected to.

2. The proxy returns the server name instantly, even if the player is deep in a world.

Transferring a Player

1. Type /send [playername] [servername] to move a player to a different backend server.

2. The player is instantly transferred without seeing a disconnect screen.

3. Their inventory, position, and game state transfer with them if both servers support it.

Admin Use Cases

Use /find to track down players for support issues or to verify attendance. Use /send to balance player load across servers, move players out of a server before maintenance, or reunite friends on the same backend. These commands work from the console or in-game if you have admin permissions.
