When You Might Need Solid GUIs

Some players prefer solid backgrounds for certain screens like crafting menus or shops, especially if transparency makes text harder to read. You can selectively modify which GUI elements remain transparent.

Customizing Opacity Per Screen

1. Open your Translucent GUI Resource Pack folder

2. Locate the texture files for specific GUI elements (crafting tables, furnaces, chests, etc.)

3. Edit these PNG files in an image editor to increase their opacity or restore them to full visibility

4. Alternatively, if configuration files are included, adjust opacity values for individual screens

5. Save and reload the resource pack

6. Test each screen in-game to confirm the changes

Alternative Approach

If editing files feels complex, you can create a second resource pack that overrides only the screens you want opaque, then load both packs with the override pack on top. This preserves your original Translucent GUI pack while giving you selective control over which interfaces remain transparent.
