Setting Up Organized Storage

With sixteen dyes now sharing a consistent visual style, you can create a logical storage system that makes crafting faster.

Storage Strategies

By color temperature:

  • Dedicate one chest section to warm colors (red, orange, yellow, brown)
  • Use another for cool colors (blue, cyan, purple, magenta)
  • Keep neutrals (white, light gray, gray, black) in a separate area

By crafting purpose:

  • Group dyes you use together for common recipes
  • Keep primary colors (red, blue, yellow) in an easily accessible spot
  • Store specialty colors (lime, light blue, magenta) separately if you use them less often

Labeling Tips

Since the dust piles look uniform, consider:

  • Placing a sample dye block or wool next to your storage to show what's inside
  • Using item frames above chests with dyed wool to indicate contents
  • Creating a reference chart near your crafting area showing all sixteen powder colors

This system works especially well if you're doing large-scale dyeing projects or managing a shared server storage area.
