Understanding Texture Compatibility

The Dungeons Cobblestone is designed to pair cleanly with other dungeon-styled stone packs. Before building, identify which complementary stone textures you have available—typically darker stone blocks, slate variants, or aged brick textures. These create visual hierarchy and prevent monotony in large structures.

Strategic Block Placement

Use cobblestone as your primary structural block for walls and floors. Reserve darker or specialty stone blocks for accents: corners, pillars, doorways, and decorative bands. A common ratio is 70% cobblestone to 30% complementary stones, though this varies by project.

Creating Visual Patterns

Alternate cobblestone and darker stone in horizontal stripes, or use darker blocks to frame sections of cobblestone. Mossy cobblestone works well as a transitional block between standard cobblestone and other stone types, softening the contrast.

Layering for Depth

Apply darker stones at ground level and transitions, reserving cleaner cobblestone for upper sections. This mimics natural weathering and creates visual interest. Use stone slabs and stairs from both texture families to blend transitions smoothly and add architectural detail.
