Selective GUI Restoration

While the Dark Transparent GUI Resource Pack removes most background textures, you may want to restore opaque backgrounds for certain menus where transparency causes readability issues.

Editing Individual Menu Textures

Locate the specific GUI texture file in assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ that corresponds to the menu you want to modify. For example, container/generic_54.png controls large chest interfaces.

Open the texture in an image editor and increase the alpha channel of the background layer to full opacity (255). Save the file and reload the resource pack in-game using F3 + T.

Testing Your Changes

Open the menu you modified to verify the background now appears solid. Repeat this process for any other menus requiring better contrast. Keep notes on which files you've edited so you can maintain consistency across updates to the resource pack.
