How do I start using Voxel Sniper after installing it?
What's the difference between using an arrow and gunpowder?
An arrow replaces existing blocks at your target location with your selected material. Gunpowder adds new blocks on top of surfaces, letting you build up terrain rather than carve it away.
Can I edit blocks that are really far away?
Yes—that's the main point of Voxel Sniper. You can target and reshape terrain from a distance by aiming through your scope, though your exact range depends on your brush settings and server configuration.
Why does my server lag when I use big brushes?
The plugin processes edits asynchronously to prevent freezing, but extremely large brushes on weak hardware may still cause performance dips. Try using smaller brush sizes, fewer simultaneous edits, or splitting massive projects across multiple sessions.
Does Voxel Sniper work with WorldGuard protected areas?
Yes—the plugin respects WorldGuard claims and PlotSquared plots by default, preventing you from accidentally editing inside protected zones. You'll need permission from the area owner to make changes there.
Can multiple players use Voxel Sniper at the same time without lag?
Yes—the asynchronous processing lets many builders work together simultaneously without freezing the server. However, editing the exact same blocks at once may cause conflicts, so coordinate with other players on large projects.
How do I change what material I'm painting with?
Hold the material block you want in your hand or use the material selection command to set it. Your chosen material will then be applied when you click with your arrow or gunpowder tool.
