How Multi-Block Locking Works

Tumbler and Torsion allows a single lock to secure multiple adjacent containers at once. When you place a lock on a block, it can extend its protection to nearby connected blocks—useful for securing double chests, furnace arrays, or hopper networks without installing separate locks on each.

Place Your Lock Strategically

Position your lock on one block of the group you want to protect. The lock will automatically cover adjacent blocks of the same type or compatible containers. Check that all intended blocks show the lock indicator before considering the installation complete.

Key Access Across All Blocks

Once a multi-block lock is placed, any player with the matching key can open all secured blocks in that group. This simplifies access management for shared storage areas or production lines while using fewer locks and keys overall.

Limitations

Not all block arrangements qualify for multi-block locking—blocks must be directly adjacent and compatible. Experiment with your setup to find the optimal lock placement that covers your intended containers efficiently.
