Strays drop arrows of slowness and can be a steady source of them if you build a farm. This mod makes that much easier because you no longer need to travel to a frozen biome to find them.

Preparing the Area

Pick a location where skeletons would normally spawn, such as a dark room or a cleared underground space. Because strays now replace skeletons anywhere, you can build the farm wherever is convenient for you. Light up everything around the farm so mobs only appear inside your spawning chamber, and make sure the chamber itself stays dark.

Tuning the Spawn Chance

Set the stray chance value high, close to the maximum, so nearly every skeleton that spawns inside your farm becomes a stray. If you leave it low, most of your farm output will be ordinary skeletons and you will get far fewer arrows of slowness.

Collecting Drops

Use the standard skeleton farm approach: a drop chute that brings mobs to a kill point, with a way to finish them off safely. Strays behave like skeletons, including their ranged attacks, so keep yourself protected and avoid standing in their line of fire. Because the mod only changes which variant spawns, any farm design that works for skeletons works here without modification.
