Species FAQ

It adds alien flora, fossils, and bizarre creatures, including new mobs, eggs, and biotech blocks. The wiki lists 79 items and blocks plus a large roster of mobs.

Mobs include the Bewereager, Birt, Cliff Hanger, Coil, Cruncher, Deepfish, Ghoul, Goober, Harpoon, Leaf Hanger, Limpet, Mammutilation, Quake, Roombug, Spectre, Springling, Stackatick, Treeper, Trooper, Wicked, and Wraptor.

There is a dedicated wiki guide called "Getting Started with the Species Mod" that walks you through the basics. A companion guide, "Species Mod Mobs and Materials," covers the creatures and resources.

Items include the Crankbow, Harpoon, Ricoshield, Smoke Bomb, Werefang, Wicked Mask, Wicked Swapper, Youth Potion, Ichor Bottle, and Spectralibur. There are also several music discs and a Spectralibur Pedestal.

Blocks include Alphacene Grass, Alphacene Moss, Alphacene Mushrooms, Bone Bark, Bone Spike, Bone Vertebra, Chaindelier, Cranktrap, Hopelight, Speclight, and Kinetic Core. There are also Wicked Candles and Red Suspicious Sand.

The mod includes spawn eggs for many mobs as well as egg blocks like the Cruncher Egg, Wraptor Egg, Cracked Wraptor Egg, Springling Egg, Petrified Egg, and Birt Egg.
