About ShadowMC

ShadowMC is a core library mod. It does not add items, blocks, or gameplay content on its own. Instead, it provides shared code that other mods depend on: APIs, networking wrappers, and configuration systems.

Because it is a library, you generally will not install ShadowMC by itself. It arrives as a dependency of the mods that use it. If you remove it while those mods are installed, they will fail to load or crash, since the shared code they rely on will be missing.

Configuration

ShadowMC includes a configuration system used by the mods built on it. Any settings you can change are exposed through the config files of those individual mods rather than through ShadowMC directly. If a dependent mod offers config options, editing its config is how you adjust behavior; ShadowMC supplies the underlying mechanism.
