What the Ice Boat Nerf Mod Does
The Ice Boat Nerf Mod is a small, single-purpose modification that removes the speed advantage boats normally gain when traveling over ice. With this mod installed, a boat moving across ice travels at roughly the same pace as a boat moving over ordinary ground blocks such as dirt. The fast, sliding "ice boat" behavior is gone, and boat movement becomes consistent regardless of the surface beneath it.
Why Use It
The change is aimed at gameplay balance and realism. Ice boats are widely considered an overpowered travel method, and nerfing them makes other fast-travel options more worthwhile, including piston bolts, dolphin highways, railways, and piston worms. If you prefer a world where ice roads are no longer the dominant 
transport solution, this mod provides that adjustment without adding new items, 
blocks, or recipes.
