Checking If the Mod Is Working
To confirm Hat List Mod is functioning:
1. Join a world or server with other players (or use a test world with multiple player skins)
2. Press Tab to open the player list
3. Look at player heads in the list—you should see hat-layer details on skins that have them
What to Look For
Players with hat-layer cosmetics will show:
- Hats, crowns, or headwear on top of their heads
- Decorative accessories on the head area
- Any custom hat-layer elements from their skin file
Players with no hat-layer content will appear unchanged.
If Nothing Changes
If you don't see hat layers:
- Ensure the mod is properly installed in your mods folder
- Check that players' skins actually have hat-layer data (not all skins do)
- Restart your game client
The mod works silently—there are no toggles or commands to enable. If installed correctly, hat layers display by default whenever you view the player list.
