  1. Access the Settings Menu
  2. Find the Ore Glow Controls
  3. Turn Off Individual Ores
  4. Apply Changes

Access the Settings Menu

Open your mod settings menu while in-game. This is typically found in the main pause menu or through a dedicated mods settings option, depending on your mod loader.

Find the Ore Glow Controls

Locate the section for Glowing Emissive Ores. You'll see a list of ores from your installed mods, each with a toggle or checkbox next to it.

Turn Off Individual Ores

Click or toggle off any ore you want to stop glowing. This is useful if:

  • A particular ore's glow is too bright or distracting
  • You want to preserve the vanilla appearance of certain ores
  • An ore's glow conflicts with your shader or resource pack
  • You're playing on a server with specific aesthetic rules

Apply Changes

Confirm your settings. The changes take effect immediately—you don't need to restart your world. Walk into a dark cave to verify that your selected ores no longer emit light while others continue to glow normally.

You can re-enable any ore at any time by returning to the same menu and toggling it back on.
