Swim Underwater While Wearing Elytra

The Problem

In vanilla Minecraft 1.19.4+, equipping an elytra prevents you from entering swim mode underwater. Instead, the elytra deploys, forcing you to unequip it to swim properly.

How This Mod Fixes It

Elytra Swim Fix removes this restriction. You can now activate swim mode while wearing elytra without triggering deployment.

Steps to Swim

1. Equip your elytra in your chestplate slot

2. Enter water at any depth

3. Press your swim key (default: double-tap forward, or use your mod's configured swim activation)

4. You will enter swim mode normally—the elytra will not deploy

5. Swim freely underwater as you would without elytra equipped

Tips

• You can still deploy your elytra mid-air by jumping and pressing the elytra key
• Swimming with elytra equipped uses the same hunger as normal swimming
• This fix applies only underwater; elytra deployment works normally in air
