Access the Configuration Menu

Open your mod configuration menu while in-game. The exact method depends on your modloader, but typically you can press a designated config key (often O or access it through a mod menu). Look for Damage Indicators Expanded in the mod list.

Choose Your Preferred Style

The mod offers two main visual styles:

  • Classic Indicator Style: A nostalgic design inspired by older combat mods, displaying health bars and damage numbers in a traditional format
  • Modern Retro Style: A contemporary take on retro aesthetics, featuring custom particle pop-offs and updated visual effects

Apply and Test

Select your preferred style from the configuration options and confirm the change. The new style will apply immediately to all health bars and damage numbers you see. Target a mob to preview how health bars appear in your chosen style, then attack it to see how floating damage numbers render with the new visual design.

You can switch between styles at any time without restarting the game.
