Crafting and Using Cladded Armor

Gathering the Materials

Cladded armor is built from Block of Crude Cladding and Cladded Stone, then upgraded with the Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template. Mine or craft the base materials first, then smelt or stonecut them into the shapes you need.

Smithing the Set

Use a smithing table with the Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template, a piece of base armor, and the cladding material to produce Cladded Helmet, Cladded Chestplate, Cladded Leggings, and Cladded Boots. Each piece uses the same template, so craft one template per armor piece or reuse a single template if your setup allows.

Where to Get the Template

The Cladding Upgrade Smithing Template is the gating item for the whole set. Obtain it before you commit materials to the armor, since without it the smithing transform will not run. Store spare templates in a safe chest near your smithing table.

Using the Armor

Wear the full set for the best protection. The cladding theme matches Cladded Stone and Block of Crude Cladding builds, so pair the armor with those blocks when constructing a base. Repair damaged pieces at an anvil using the same cladding material.
