How the Display Works

Supported Item Types

Back Tools Mod displays most standard Minecraft tools and weapons:

Pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes (all materials)
Swords (all materials)
Bows and other ranged weapons
Tridents
Many modded tools and weapons (depends on mod compatibility)

Items That Won't Display

The mod doesn't show:

Blocks or building materials
Food items
Utility items (buckets, fishing rods, etc.)
Armor pieces
Most consumables

How the Display Works

When you hold a supported item and then switch away from it, the mod renders a 3D model of that item on your character's back. The item keeps its appearance—enchantments, custom textures, and damage all show accurately. Only one item displays at a time: whichever tool or weapon you held most recently.

This creates a visual indicator of your last-used gear, giving your character a more adventurous, prepared appearance without affecting gameplay mechanics.
