Unlock Special Merchant Trades with Axolians and Octopus Traders

The mod fills your world with interactive Axolian villagers and unique merchants, including Octopus Traders. Some of their best offers are locked until you make progress, so trading and questing go hand in hand.

Finding Merchants

1. Look for Axolian settlements, which are built from decorative rune wood.

2. Check underground cave shelters as well. Axolian merchants can also be found living below ground.

3. Right-click a merchant to open its trade screen and see what it currently offers.

4. Note which merchant sold what, and record coordinates (F3) so you can return.

Unlocking Hidden Trades

The mod includes 38 advancements and quest goals. Completing them unlocks special merchant trades.

1. Open the Advancements screen (default key L) and find the mod's advancement tab.

2. Read each goal's description and hover over locked entries to see what is required.

3. Pick goals that match what you are already doing, like exploring structures, fighting new mobs, crafting gear or cooking the mod's food.

4. After completing a goal, return to merchants and check their trade screens again for new offers.

Tips

• Stockpile the mod's crafting materials, such as Treezalea Petals, Ancient Guardian Eyes and Axo Essence. Unique items are often useful in trades.
• Revisit merchants after major milestones, such as clearing a dungeon or defeating a boss.
