Prepare for the Azalin Boss Fight and Claim the Ring of Chaos

Azalin is one of the mod's two bosses. It guards the mysterious Ring of Chaos in an arena deep inside a dungeon chamber. Azalin has its own battle mechanics, so preparation matters more than raw damage.

Before You Go

1. Upgrade your gear. Use the AxoForge to improve your best weapon, and bring any artifacts you have collected.

2. Pack food. The mod adds 8 consumable foods, including Axo Soup and Axo-Jelly. Bring plenty, along with vanilla healing such as golden apples and potions.

3. Bring utility. Pack torches, blocks for building cover or pillars, a spare weapon and plenty of armor durability.

4. Set your spawn point with a bed placed near the dungeon entrance, so a defeat doesn't mean a long trip back.

In the Arena

• Clear the dungeon on the way down. Hostile mobs such as Crystal Guardians may stand between you and the chamber.
• Spend the first part of the fight observing. Watch Azalin's attacks and look for repeating patterns before you commit to heavy melee.
• Keep moving and keep your health topped up. Eat between attack phases rather than mid-attack.
• If things go badly, retreat, regroup and come back with better gear.

After the Victory

Collect the Ring of Chaos. Then check your Advancements screen (L) and visit merchants, since boss progress may count toward quest goals that unlock special trades.
