Craft and Upgrade Your Gear at the AxoForge

The AxoForge is the mod's ancient workstation for crafting and upgrading powerful gear. It is your main route to the mod's 14+ weapons and artifacts.

Getting Access to an AxoForge

1. Search ancient obsidian temple rooms, which can contain an AxoForge.

2. If you find one far from home, note the coordinates (F3) so you can return with materials.

3. Check your recipe book to see whether you can craft your own forge, and gather whatever it lists.

Using the Forge

1. Collect the mod's unique crafting materials as you explore: Treezalea Petals, Ancient Guardian Eyes and Axo Essence.

2. Right-click the AxoForge to open its interface and look at what it can make or upgrade.

3. Place your materials and gear in the slots shown. Watch which combinations produce a result before you commit rare items.

4. Upgrade your main weapon first. A stronger weapon makes it easier to gather more materials from dungeons and hostile mobs like Crystal Guardians.

Tips

• Don't spend every rare material on your first upgrade. Keep a reserve in case you find an artifact you prefer.
• Some forge or crafting goals may count toward the mod's advancements. Finishing them can unlock special merchant trades.
• Store spare weapons and artifacts in a chest near the forge so you can swap loadouts before boss fights.
