Organize Chests by Category

Group your storage into logical sections: ores, building blocks, tools, food, and miscellaneous. Label chests with signs or use different chest types (oak, birch, etc.) to visually distinguish categories at a glance.

Stack Chests Vertically

Double chests take up 2 blocks horizontally but only 1 block vertically. Stack them on top of each other to save floor space. Arrange them in a tall column or tower so you can access everything without moving around your base.

Use Barrels or Other Single-Block Storage

If your mod includes barrels or compact storage blocks, these take up less space than double chests while holding the same amount. Prioritize these for your most-used materials.

Drop Excess Items Into the Void Safely

If you're truly out of storage space, create a dedicated disposal area at the edge of your chunk where you can drop unwanted items. Mark it clearly so you don't accidentally throw away something valuable. Only use this for truly renewable or worthless items.
