Requirements
Your Greninja must have a friendship level above 250 with you. Friendship increases through battling alongside your Greninja, winning fights, and spending time with it.
How to Transform
Once friendship exceeds 250, Ash Greninja will automatically transform the moment it enters combat. You don't need to trigger anything manually—simply send your Greninja into battle against any opponent, wild Pokémon, or trainer battle.
The transformation happens instantly upon engagement, replacing the standard Greninja form with Ash Greninja's enhanced combat state. This persists for the duration of the battle.
Tips
- Check your Greninja's friendship level before important battles to ensure the threshold is met
- The transformation grants access to Ash Greninja's exclusive animations and stat adjustments
- Friendship above 250 is the only condition required—no items or held objects are necessary
- The transformation resets when battle ends; you'll need to re-engage to trigger it again in a new encounter
