Improved Better Weapons Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to install anything else for this pack to work?
No, this is a resource pack only—it changes textures and models but doesn't add new items or mechanics. Just load it in your resource pack folder and enable it in your world settings.
Will this pack work with other resource packs?
Yes, but load order matters. Place this pack higher in your resource pack list if you want its textures to override others, or lower if you prefer other packs to take priority.
How do I tell the difference between tool tiers now?
Each tier has distinct outlines and shading—wooden and stone tools have simple clean lines, iron is more refined, gold and diamond are polished and bright, and netherite is dark with gold and diamond accents. Check your inventory or hotbar to spot the differences instantly.
Why does my netherite gear look different from my friend's?
Make sure you both have the same version of the pack installed and that it's enabled in your resource pack list. If one of you is using a different pack or an older version, the textures won't match.
Can I see the new armor details in first-person view?
Most armor improvements show best in third-person view where you can see the full plate depth and styling. In first-person, you'll mainly notice the cleaner helmet and arm textures.
How do I know when my bow is fully drawn?
The bow pull animation now has clear stages—watch the string tension and wood details change as you draw. A fully drawn bow will show maximum string pull and distinct visual feedback.
Does this pack affect my game performance?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change visuals, not game logic. You may see a tiny difference in loading time, but it should be unnoticeable on most systems.
Will this pack work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so other players won't need it installed. You'll see the improved textures on your end, but others will see vanilla textures unless they install it too.
What happened to the
Totem of Undying texture?
It's been replaced with a classic hardcore heart icon for a cleaner look that fits better with the pack's overall style.
Can I use this pack with mods that add new weapons?
This pack only retextures vanilla Minecraft gear, so it won't affect weapons from other mods. Those modded weapons will keep their default textures unless another pack covers them.
