How do I start using ice abilities after installing the mod?
The mod adds ice attacks to your Cursed Fate combat system automatically. Open your hotbar UI to see the six new freezing attacks available, then bind them to keys you're comfortable with for combat.
What's the difference between regular Ice Shard and the charged version?
Holding down your attack button charges Ice Shard to fire eight projectiles at once instead of a single shard, dealing significantly more damage and applying frost to multiple targets.
How do frost stacks work and why should I build them up?
As enemies get colder from repeated ice attacks, they accumulate frost stacks that slow their movement, reduce their attack speed, and eventually disable their special abilities entirely—making them much easier to defeat.
When should I use Ice Leap instead of other attacks?
Ice Leap creates a pillar under your feet to launch you high into the air, making it ideal for crossing large distances, escaping danger, or repositioning during combat—just face the direction you want to travel before using it.
Do biomes actually affect my ice powers?
Yes—in cold biomes like snowy plains you gain bonus Strength and Resistance, but in hot biomes like deserts you suffer a Weakness effect, so adapt your strategy based on where you're fighting.
What does the Power Boost modifier do?
Power Boost temporarily increases your overall combat power so that even your bare-handed punches apply frost effects to enemies, letting you build frost stacks without relying solely on ice attacks.
Is Freezing Wave better for single targets or groups?
Freezing Wave is a massive area attack that heavily damages and freezes all nearby foes at once, making it excellent for dealing with groups but overkill for isolated enemies.
Can I combine charged attacks with the variant versions?
Yes—you can use chant or maximum output variants on your base attacks to make them much larger and stronger, and these stack with charging mechanics for even greater power.
What happens if I use ice abilities in the desert?
You'll suffer a Weakness effect that reduces your damage output, so ice combat is less effective in hot biomes—consider repositioning to a colder area or using different tactics.
Can I freeze and throw enemies with Absolute Zero Grab?
Yes—Absolute Zero Grab targets an enemy directly in front of you, freezes them solid, and throws them far away, useful for removing threats from your immediate area or launching them into hazards.
