Deploying Automated Turrets for Base Defense

Crafting and Placing Turrets

Automated turrets are stationary defensive structures that engage enemies automatically. Craft them using the mod's recipes, then place them around your base perimeter, on rooftops, or at chokepoints where monsters commonly approach.

Optimal Turret Placement

Position turrets with clear sightlines to common mob approach routes. Elevated positions—like on walls or towers—give turrets better coverage of surrounding areas. Space multiple turrets to eliminate blind spots and create overlapping fields of fire.

Maintenance and Upgrades

Turrets require ammunition to function. Check their ammo levels regularly and resupply them before extended afk periods or major mob waves. Some turrets may have durability that degrades over time; repair or replace damaged units to maintain defensive strength.

Combine turrets with stratagem beacons for layered defense—beacons provide temporary support while turrets offer constant protection.
