Hell Gunners FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get my first gun in this mod?
You'll need to craft weapons using a crafting table with the appropriate materials—check the crafting recipes in your inventory or JEI/NEI for exact ingredient lists. Once crafted, equip the gun like any other tool and use right-click to aim and fire.
What's the difference between the weapons in Hell Gunners?
Each weapon has different firing rates, damage output, and reload times, so some are better for close combat while others excel at range. Experiment with different guns to find your preferred playstyle, or switch between them depending on the situation.
How do Stratagem Beacons work?
Place a Stratagem Beacon on the ground and activate it to call in support items or structures at that location. The beacon has a cooldown between uses, so you can't spam them constantly during combat.
Can I use these guns to defend my base automatically?
No, the guns require manual aiming and firing, but you can deploy Automated Turrets using Stratagem Beacons to provide automatic defense while you handle threats yourself.
Do the guns need ammo or fuel?
Guns consume ammo when fired, which you'll need to craft or obtain separately. Make sure you have enough ammo before heading into combat, or you'll be left defenseless.
Why do my guns feel weak against tough mobs?
Aim for headshots or weak points when possible, use the right weapon for the enemy type, and consider combining gun damage with Stratagem support or turrets for better results. Upgrading your weapons through crafting recipes can also increase their effectiveness.
Do these weapons work in multiplayer?
Yes, Hell Gunners weapons function in multiplayer servers and allow you to coordinate with teammates using Stratagem Beacons for shared support.
Can I use these guns with other combat mods?
Hell Gunners weapons generally work alongside other mods, but conflicts can occur if multiple mods heavily modify combat mechanics—test your mod combination to be sure.
Are there any performance issues with all the weapon effects?
The custom animations and visual effects are optimized for most systems, but if you experience lag, try lowering your particle settings or disabling custom animations in the mod's config file.
What happens if I run out of ammo mid-fight?
You'll need to retreat and craft more ammo, or switch to a melee weapon as a backup. Keep ammo supplies stocked before engaging dangerous mobs or bosses.
