Preparing for Underground Exploration
Before descending into caves, enable your headlight using your keybind. Unlike torches, your headlight requires no placement and won't interfere with block-breaking or building. This makes it ideal for hands-free exploration.
Navigating Dark Caverns
The headlight illuminates in the direction you're looking, so turn your head to scout ahead. The dynamic light moves with you, revealing new areas as you advance. This is especially useful when:
- Searching for ores and resources
- Avoiding hostile mobs by spotting them first
- Finding your way back (the light marks your path)
- Exploring without cluttering your inventory with torches
Combining with Other Light Sources
Your headlight works alongside placed torches and lanterns. Use it as your primary light source while underground, and place torches at intersections to mark your route home.
