Radiation in this mod is a serious threat that accumulates in your body over time near radioactive materials and failed reactors. Different sources emit varying levels of radiation, and prolonged exposure causes damage and negative effects. The further you are from the source, the safer you become.
Equip Protective Gear
Craft or find hazmat suits and gas masks to reduce radiation intake. These items provide varying levels of protection depending on their quality and material. Wear them whenever working with uranium, plutonium, or near active reactors. Some advanced armor provides better radiation shielding than basic protective gear.
Manage Contamination
If you become irradiated, distance yourself from radiation sources immediately. Certain consumables and medical items can help cleanse radiation from your body—seek these out as you progress. Decontamination chambers can be built to remove radiation more efficiently. Always have an escape route planned when exploring highly radioactive areas, and consider building shielded rooms for long-term work in dangerous zones.
