Set Up Your First Nuclear Reactor
Gather Materials and Build the Core
Start by mining uranium ore and processing it into fuel. You'll need to construct the reactor vessel—a large multiblock structure that forms the heart of your power generation. Collect the necessary industrial blocks and assemble them according to the reactor's schematic. The reactor requires cooling systems to function safely, so prepare coolant tanks and piping before activation.
Connect Power and Monitor Output
Once your reactor is built, attach cables to transmit the generated power to your machines and storage. Place a control panel nearby so you can monitor temperature, fuel consumption, and energy output. Start with low power settings and gradually increase output as you become comfortable managing heat levels. Always keep an eye on radiation warnings—if coolant fails, the reactor will overheat and cause dangerous meltdowns. Store backup fuel and coolant supplies nearby for emergencies.
Safety First
Wear appropriate protective gear when working near active reactors. Build containment structures around your reactor to minimize radiation spread if something goes wrong. Consider building your reactor away from your main base until you're confident in your operation skills.
