How Mob Discovery Works
In survival mode, you unlock hats by encountering different mobs in the world. Each mob type you find can drop or unlock a corresponding hat cosmetic for your collection. The more mob varieties you discover, the more hats become available to wear.
Steps to Unlock Hats
1. Explore different biomes and environments — Travel to caves, forests, deserts, and other areas where different mobs spawn naturally.
2. Encounter mobs — Simply being near or interacting with mobs (hostile, passive, or neutral) registers them in your progression.
3. Check your collection — Open your progress menu to see which hats you've unlocked so far. This menu tracks all discovered cosmetics.
4. Hunt specific mobs — If you want a particular hat, seek out that mob type. Rare mobs or those found in specific biomes may give you unique hat options.
5. Explore modded dimensions — If you have other mods installed that add new mobs, you'll unlock hats for those creatures too.
Your unlocked hats persist even after death or dimension travel, so you never lose progress. Keep exploring to build a complete collection.
