Put Hats on Animals and Monsters

Applying Hats to Mobs

The mod lets you equip hats not just on your player character, but also on any mob in the world — farm animals, hostile creatures, and even baby animals. This is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect mob behavior.

How to Hat a Mob

1. Locate a mob — Find any animal or monster you want to customize (cows, sheep, zombies, creepers, etc.).

2. Access the mod's interaction system — Right-click or use the mod's designated interaction key on the mob.

3. Select a hat from your unlocked collection — Choose which cosmetic you want the mob to wear.

4. Apply the hat — Confirm your selection and the hat appears on the mob's head.

5. Hat persists on the mob — The equipped hat stays on that specific mob even if it moves around.

Special Cases

Baby animals and modded creatures work perfectly with the system — hats scale and position correctly on all mob sizes and shapes. This works smoothly in multiplayer, so all players see the same hats on the same mobs.
