Understanding Flight Mechanics
The
hang glider uses intuitive, natural controls designed to feel responsive and smooth. Unlike other flight items, it relies on momentum and gravity, so you'll gradually descend rather than hover indefinitely.
Basic Controls
Use your mouse to pitch up and down, controlling your descent rate and forward speed. Look down to descend faster, look up to slow your descent and gain altitude if you have forward momentum. Strafe left and right to turn and adjust your flight path.
Maintaining Altitude
To stay airborne longer, find updrafts near tall terrain or use your forward momentum wisely. Dive slightly to build speed, then pitch up to climb. This pendulum motion lets you cover large distances.
Landing Safely
Approach your landing spot at a shallow angle. Level out your glider as you near the ground to reduce impact damage. Practice landing on flat terrain before attempting precision landings on small platforms or rooftops.
