Copy a Machine Blueprint with the Schematic Interface

Capturing Your Machine Design

The Schematic Interface lets you save the exact layout of any GregTech large machine so you can rebuild it elsewhere without guessing.

Steps to Copy

1. Craft or obtain the Schematic Interface terminal gadget

2. Locate the large machine you want to copy—it must have a machine controller block

3. Hold Shift and right-click directly on the machine controller with the Schematic Interface in your hand

4. The tool scans all connected blocks within the machine structure and stores their positions and types

5. The blueprint is now saved to the Schematic Interface

Using Your Blueprint

Once captured, you can:

  • Place the Schematic Interface in your inventory to carry the blueprint
  • Use it as a reference when building the same machine in a new location
  • The blueprint remembers coil types, hatch orientations, and all component placements

This is especially useful for complex multiblock machines where getting the structure wrong wastes resources. You can capture multiple designs by using different Schematic Interface tools, or overwrite an existing blueprint by scanning a new machine.
