Functional Statues FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I craft a statue?
Open your crafting table and look for statue recipes in the crafting grid. Each statue has its own recipe using stone and other materials—check the guide "Craft Statues in Survival Mode" for specific ingredient layouts. All 23 statues are craftable in survival, so you can gather materials and build them without creative mode.
Why is my statue facing the wrong direction?
Statues automatically face toward the player when you place them. If it's facing the wrong way, break it and place it again from a different angle or position. See "Place a Statue and Make It Face the Right Direction" for detailed placement tips.
Can I rotate a statue after placing it?
Statues orient themselves toward the player at placement time. To change direction, you'll need to break and replace the statue from a new position.
Where do I find all the statue designs?
The mod adds a dedicated creative inventory tab that shows all 23 statues at a glance. You can also browse them in survival by checking your crafting recipes or refer to "Use the Creative Inventory Tab to Browse All Statues" for a full list.
What biome or block do statues work best with?
Statues fit naturally into castles, villages, gardens, ruins, and outdoor landscapes. They're designed with stone and mossy textures, so they pair well with stone builds, but you can use them anywhere—check "Build a Themed Statue Display or Garden" for decoration ideas.
Do statues have any special functions or mechanics?
Statues are purely decorative—they don't have special abilities or interactions beyond turning to face the player when placed. Their purpose is to add character and detail to your builds.
Can I use statues in adventure maps?
Yes, statues work great in custom adventure maps and fit well into themed environments like castles, villages, and ruins. Since they're craftable in survival, map creators can include them as part of the landscape or as rewards.
Do statues cause lag or performance issues?
Statues use custom 3D models and textures but are optimized as decorative blocks. Placing many statues in one area shouldn't cause significant performance problems, though extremely large quantities may impact frame rate depending on your system.
Can I break a statue and get it back?
Yes, break the statue with any tool and it will drop as an item you can pick up and place again elsewhere.
What statue types are included in the mod?
The mod includes 23 different statue designs with custom models and textures, featuring characters like villagers, skeletons, iron golems, knights, zombies, and scarecrows. Browse the creative tab or the showcase to see all available designs.
