Ftb Unearthed FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start with Ftb Unearthed?
Craft or find an Unearther block, place it on the ground to instantly build the 3x3x3 structure, then hire villager workers using worker tokens. Feed them raw materials through the side faces and food through hoppers connected to the top to start gathering resources.
What do I need to do to enable recipes?
You need to enable test recipes in the mod's configuration file before you can see the crafting recipes for Unearther blocks and worker tokens during normal gameplay.
Can I move my unearther machine?
Yes, mine any part of the machine and it breaks down into a single portable block that you can carry and place elsewhere without losing any stored items or workers.
Do villager workers need food to work?
Villagers will work without food, but feeding them provides speed boosts to resource gathering. Higher-quality food gives bigger and longer-lasting speed boosts than lower-quality food.
How do I get worker tokens?
Worker tokens are crafted or found in the creative inventory and come in different types based on villager profession and experience level (like novice plains armorer or novice butcher). Place a token into the Unearther to hire that worker.
Where do I put raw materials in the unearther?
Feed raw input blocks into any of the four side faces of the machine using hoppers, pipes, or by hand. The top is reserved for food input and the bottom is for output.
How do I collect finished items from the unearther?
Attach hoppers or pipes to the bottom face of the machine to automatically pull out finished resources, or mine the machine to drop all items on the ground.
What happens to my items if the machine breaks?
All stored items drop safely on the ground when you break any part of the Unearther, so you won't lose anything.
Can I automate feeding the unearther?
Yes, connect hoppers or pipes to the top of the machine to automatically feed workers food and keep the speed boosts active without manual input.
Do different worker types produce different items?
Yes, different villager professions (like butcher, armorer, etc.) will brush and uncover different types of raw materials and resources based on their specialty.
