Filter Items by Mod Source

Identify Which Mod an Item Comes From

The Smart Filter can sort items based on which mod added them to the game. This is useful when you want to separate modded items from vanilla Minecraft items, or isolate items from a specific mod.

Setting Up a Mod-Based Filter

1. Right-click your Smart Filter to open the configuration menu

2. Click the "Add…" button on the right side

3. Select the mod-based filter type from the list

4. Click "Configure…" or double-click to open its settings

5. You'll see a list of mods currently in your game

6. Choose the mod whose items you want to match

7. Click "Done" to save

Testing Your Filter

Hold the configured Smart Filter in your main hand and place an item from your target mod in your off-hand. Sneak and right-click to see if the filter recognizes it. A success message confirms the filter is working correctly.

This filter type works well in compound filters—combine it with other filters to create more specific sorting rules.
